- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. cake flour
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and Crisco.

2Add sugar.

3Cream well.

4Add eggs, one at a time.

5Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.

6Add flour mixture alternating with milk.

7Add vanilla and mix well.

8Pour in a greased and floured tube pan.

9Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
