  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream the sugar, Crisco and butter.

    Add eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk.

    Add vanilla.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 25 minutes.

    Cool for 5 minutes and then remove from pan.
