Chocolate Pound Cake

- 1 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. presifted flour
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- dash of salt
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Grease and flour angel food pan.

3Mix margarine, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.

4Add eggs, one at a time, and continue to beat after each addition.

5This mixture will become very fluffy.

6Add dry ingredients and milk alternately until all is used, making the dry ingredients last. Add vanilla and continue to beat for at least 10 minutes.

7Turn batter into pan and bake in oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

8Cool on wire rack.

9May frost, if desired.

10Buttercream icing is a great icing for this cake.
