Chocolate Pound Cake

- 1 c. butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour, sifted 2 times
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa (may be heaping up)
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Cream together butter and shortening.

2Add sugar and cream. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one.

3Add vanilla. Sift all dry ingredients together.

4Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to creamed mixture.

5Bake in 10-inch tube pan at 325° for 80 minutes or until knife comes out clean.

6Let cool 5 minutes before turning out of pan.
