- 1/2 lb. creamy butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 1/2 c. sifted Swan's Down cake flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder (level tsp.)
- 1 (16 oz.) can Hershey's chocolate syrup
Directions

1Cream butter, sugar and Crisco.

2Add eggs to mixture.

3Cream well.

4Add flour and milk alternately (a little flour with a little milk).

5Add vanilla, salt and baking powder.

6Add can of chocolate syrup; mix well.

7Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.
