- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 cup flour
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 4 T cocoa
- 1 cup milk
- 1 t vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and shortening. Add sugar and cream, then add the eggs one at a time

2Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Bake in a greased and flour 9 or 10 inch tube pan at 325 degrees for about 80 minutes or until done.
