- 2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. soft butter or margarine
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 (1 oz.) envelopes no-melt unsweetened chocolate
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease well and flour a 10 x 4-inch tube pan.

3Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.

4In large bowl of electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

5Add eggs and vanilla; beat until very light and fluffy.

6At low speed, add chocolate, beating just until blended.

7Beat in flour mixture (in fourths), alternately with milk (in thirds), beginning and ending with flour mixture; beat just until combined.

8Pour batter into prepared pan; bake 60 to 65 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.

9Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minutes.

10Then turn out on rack; cool completely.

11To serve, cut thinly into 16 slices.
