  • 1 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk

    Blend margarine and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Mix flour, salt and baking powder.

    Alternate with milk chocolate. Add vanilla.

    Cook in tube pan for 1 hour and 30 minutes at 325°. Test for doneness.
