- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cocoa (packed)
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
Directions

1Cream Crisco and butter until glossy.

2Add sugar.

3Cream until fluffy; add eggs and cream until light and fluffy.

4Sift flour before measuring then add all dry ingredients and sift together.

5Add flour to creamed mixture, about 1/3 at a time alternating with

6milk.

7Add vanilla.

8Beat mixture 2 or 3 minutes.

9Pour into a large 10 inch tube pan (greased and floured).

10Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Cake is delicious without frosting.
