  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. 1
    Cream butter, Crisco and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa together. Alternately add dry ingredients, milk and vanilla to creamed mixture. Mix well. Bake in tube pan at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
