- 5 eggs
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. Crisco
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. sweet milk
Directions

1Use an angel cake pan.

2Cream the shortening and sugar, then add one egg at a time.

3Blend after each.

4Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk and vanilla.

5Pour into a well-greased and floured pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
