- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1In large bowl, cream shortening, butter and sugar.

2Add eggs, beating after each addition.

3Sift dry ingredients together. Alternately add milk and dry ingredients, blending after each addition.

4Blend in vanilla.

5Bake at 325° in greased and floured Bundt or tube pan for 1 hour and 10 to 20 minutes.

6Remove from pan immediately.
