- 2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 c. skim milk, divided
- 1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Melt chocolate in a heavy saucepan over low heat.

2Stir in sugar and salt.

3Gradually add 3 cups milk, stirring constantly with a wire whisk.

4Cook over medium heat 5 minutes.

5Combine remaining milk and cornstarch; stir well.

6Add to saucepan.

7Cook 30 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil, stirring frequently. Cook 1 minute, stirring frequently.

8Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.

9Serve warm or chilled.
