- 1 c. margarine
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. quick rolled oats
- 1 can (15 oz.) Eagle Brand milk
- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream together margarine and brown sugar.

2Add eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and salt; add oats.

3Stir flour mixture into creamed mixture.

4In a heavy saucepan melt together milk, chocolate chips, margarine and salt.

5Stir until smooth; stir in nuts and vanilla.

6Pat 2/3 oat mixture in bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Spread chocolate mixture over dough.

7Dot with remaining oat mixture.

8Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
