  • 1 12 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 23 cup caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 12 cup caster sugar
  • 315 ml boiling water

    Preheat oven to 180C Sift flour and cocoa into a large bowl.

    Stir in sugar and make a well in the centre.

    Whisk egg, butter, and milk in a jug and pour into well.

    Stir gently until just combined (don't beat vigorously or the pudding won't be light).

    Spread mixture into a 2L capacity ovenproof dish.

    To make sauce, place boiling water in a glass jug.

    Add cocoa and sugar.

    Stir until dissolved.

    Pour evenly over pudding mix.

    Bake for 40 minutes.
