  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour

Directions

    Add margarine, cocoa, water and oil; bring to boil.

    Add 2 cups sugar and 2 cups flour.

    Beat with mixer.

    Add eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla; mix well.

    Bake at 300° for 25 minutes in an 8 x 12-inch pan.

    When cool, spread with the icing.
