  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift together flour and sugar.

    In a saucepan, bring to a boil the shortening, water, margarine and cocoa.

    Pour over flour and sugar mixture while hot and beat with mixer.

    Add buttermilk, beaten eggs, soda and vanilla.

    Blend together good and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 20 to 30 minutes at 400°.
