  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa

Directions

    Sift flour, cinnamon, soda and sugar together. Put water, margarine, oil and cocoa in a boiler; bring to a boil and pour over dry mixture. Mix well. Add to this the buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Mix well and pour into a sheet pan, greased and floured. Cook at 400° for 20 to 30 minutes.
