  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Cream butter, Crisco, sugar and egg yolk.

    Add vanilla, salt and flour.

    Bake on cookie sheet at 325°.

    Then, melt chocolate chips on top and spread with spatula.

    Add nuts (optional).

    Bake until just done, lightly brown.
