- 1 1/2 c semisweet chocolate morsels
- 1/2 c butter softened
- 1 (16 oz) box light brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 c all purpose flour, sifted 3 times
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 (8 oz) container sour cream
- 1 c hot water
- 2 tsp vanilla flavoring
Directions

1Melt chocolate in microwave in bowl about 1 1/2 minutes. Stir until smooth.

2Beat butter and sugar at medium speed until well blended-about 5 minutes.

3Add eggs 1 at a time, beating just until blended after each addition.

4Add melted chocolate, beating until blended.

5Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.

6Sift 3 times.

7Gradually add 1 cup hot water in a slow stream.

8Beat just until blended, stir in vanilla.

9Spoon into 3 greased and floured 8 inch round cake pans.

10Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

11Cool in pan for 10 minutes-remove from pans and let cool on wire rack.
