- 2/3 cup butter, softened (No Substitutions)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions

1In a bowl, cream butter and sugars, add milk and egg.

2Mix well.

3Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl, and gradually add to the creamed mixture.

4Mix well.

5Cover and let chill until firm, or about two hours.

6Rolled chilled dough on a floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick.

7Cut with a 1 1/2 cookie cutter.

8Place 1 inch apart on a greased baking sheet.

9Bake at 375° for 5- 6 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

10Let cool on wire racks.
