Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. stew beef, sliced very thin (easier to slice when 1/2 frozen)
  • 1/2 stalk celery, sliced very thin crosswise
  • 1 large onion, sliced thin
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced thin
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • soy sauce and pepper to taste
  • 3 or 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. cold water

Directions

    Cook meat almost tender.

    Add soy sauce and other seasonings and a small amount of water while cooking.

    When meat is tender, add onions, celery and green pepper and thicken to desired thickness with cornstarch mixed with 1 cup of cold water.

    Simmer only a few minutes.

    Add bean sprouts.

    Serve over cooked rice.
