Chop Suey

  • 2 lb. hamburg
  • 4 onions
  • 4 or 5 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 large pkg. bean sprouts
  • 1 pkg. celery
  • 2 bay leaves

Directions

    Fill a Dutch oven or very large saucepan 1/4 the way up with water.

    Put on stove and add onions and celery.
  3. 3
    Cook 15 minutes on medium heat.

    When a little soft, add bean sprouts.
  5. 5
    Cook for about 20 minutes more, then add soy sauce, a bay leaf and salt and pepper to taste.

    Cook for 10 minutes and add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken (4 or 5 tablespoons cornstarch and water). Serve on hamburg rolls.
