Ingredients

  • 12 medium onions, chopped (4 c.)
  • 10 green tomatoes, chopped (4 c.)
  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped (4 c.)
  • 12 green peppers and 6 red sweet peppers, chopped (4 c.)
  • 4 hot peppers, chopped
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 1/4 c. water
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 4 c. cider vinegar

    Chop all vegetables.

    Sprinkle salt over vegetables and let stand overnight.

    Rinse and drain.

    Combine remaining ingredients; add chopped vegetables.

    Boil for 5 minutes.

    Put into sterilized jars and seal.
