Ingredients
- 1 round steak, good sized, cubed
- 1 can chop suey or chow mein vegetables
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 Tbsp. fat
- 1 c. celery (1/2-inch pieces)
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- chow mein noodles or cooked rice
Directions

1Brown the meat in hot fat.

2Add 2 cups water and simmer about 45 minutes.

3Cook celery until tender.

4Add the meat and broth to the celery.

5Add vegetables, mushroom soup and the soy sauce. Bring to boil and thicken with flour and water.

6Season with salt and pepper.

7Pour over rice or chow mein noodles.

8Sprinkle with more soy sauce.

9Chicken, turkey or hamburger may be substituted for the steak, but use 1 cup broth with it.

10Serves about 8.
