Christmas Breakfast: Fried Bread

  • 3 loaves Frozen Bread Dough
  • 6 - 8 cups Canola Oil [for frying]
  • 1 pint Maple Syrup
  • 1 pint Blueberry Syrup
  • 1 pint Honey

Directions

    1. The night before, place each frozen loaf in its own bowl sprayed with cooking oil. Cover with damp cloth. Put in warm place over night.

    2. Put oil in cast iron dutch oven or large deep skillet. Heat to 375 degrees.

    3. Cut 5 - 6 inch pieces of dough , pull out and fry each side until deep golden brown, remove and drain on paper towel lined racks.

    4. Repeat until all cooked. Serve with syrups and honey.
