- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped fine
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- whole red cherries
- 1 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. butter or oleo
- 2 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted
- whole pecan halves
Directions

1Blend the softened cream cheese, oleo, sugar and vanilla; add eggs 1 at a time, beating thoroughly after each one.

2Add 2 cups flour with baking powder added.

3Combine cherries and nuts with 1/4 cup flour and fold into batter.

4Grease a tube pan; sprinkle the finely chopped nuts and pour in batter.

5Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

6Cool 5 minutes in pan and remove.
