Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 2/3 c. sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 c. sifted plain flour
  • 1/2 lb. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 lb. chopped walnuts
  • 1 can Angel Flake coconut
  • 1/2 lb. candied green cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied red cherries
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.

    Add flavoring.

    In a large pan mix flour, cherries, coconut, pecans and walnuts.

    (Two measuring cups rounded equals 1/2 pound of walnuts or pecans.)

    Pour creamed butter mixture over the flour and mix thoroughly.

    Pour in tube or Bundt pan that's been greased and floured and bake at 250° for 3 hours.

    Cool; wrap in tinfoil and store in cool place.
