Christmas Candy Roll

Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. thin cream
  • 1 lb. dates
  • 1 lb. shredded coconut
  • 1 or 2 c. nuts
  • 1 lb. figs
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cook, sugar, cream and vanilla until it forms a soft ball. Run remaining ingredients through a food processor or blender and then add to sugar mixture.

    Stir until stiff, then knead on board sprinkled with powdered sugar until you can mold into a roll. Make 1 or 2 rolls a little more than an inch in diameter.

    Wrap in a damp cloth separately and set away to ripen for at least 2 weeks.
