  • 2 c. whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
  • 1 1/2 qt. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • ground nutmeg

    Beat egg yolks; gradually add 1 cup sugar and the salt, beating

    mixture thickens and coats spoon.
