- 3 egg yolks
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 3 egg whites
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. sherry extract
- nutmeg
Directions

1Beat egg yolks.

2Gradually add 1/2 cup of sugar and salt, beating constantly.

3Add milk and cream gradually.

4Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, until thick enough to coat spoon. Cool.

5Add sherry extract and chill.

6Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add the rest of sugar, beating until stiff.

7Fold into chilled custard.

8When ready to serve, pour into chilled punch bowl.

9Sprinkle with nutmeg.

10Makes 2 quarts.
