  • 1 1/2 pkg. chopped dates
  • 2 small bags vanilla wafers
  • 1 box raisins
  • 1 box currants
  • 1 qt. chopped pecans
  • 1 pt. candied fruit and peels
  • 1 small container candied cherries
  • 2 large cans sweetened condensed milk
  • coconut (not flaked)

Directions

    Crush cookies to a fine crumb; add other ingredients, one at a time, stirring well.

    Save cherries to decorate top and coconut to roll cake in after it is well mixed.

    Make at least a week before serving so it will slice well.

    Wrap in foil and put in refrigerator.
