- 4 egg yolks
- 1 egg white
- 1/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. rum
- 1 c. flour
Directions

1Add salt to eggs and beat 10 minutes.

2Add sugar and flavoring; beat until well blended.

3Fold in flour.

4Transfer to a well-floured board and knead until dough blisters.

5Cut in halves. Roll very thin and cut into 4-inch strips (long).

6Slit each piece in center and pull one end through the slit.

7Fry in hot fat until lightly browned.

8Drain on absorbent paper.

9Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
