- 4 lb. chuck roast
- crushed garlic
- salt
- black pepper
- red pepper
- soy sauce
- oil
- flour
Directions

1Stuff roast with crushed garlic, salt and black and red pepper. Plenty of salt on outside (this makes it brown nicely). Marinate overnight in a baking plastic bag with soy sauce.

2Take out of plastic bag.

3Brown on all sides in an iron pot (no flour). Cover and cook on low heat 3 to 4 hours.

4Take out roast and thicken gravy with a little flour.

5Soy sauce mixture can be frozen and used over in the plastic bag.
