- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 6 (1.55 oz.) Hershey bars
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Sift together the flour and baking soda in small bowl.

3Set aside.

4Put the margarine in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed for 30 seconds.

5Add both kinds of sugar; beat until mixed well (about 1 minute).

6Add egg and vanilla to sugar mixture; beat.

7Add flour mixture gradually, beating (on low speed) after each addition.

8Break chocolate bars into small pieces.

9Add chocolate to cookie dough, stirring with a large spoon to blend.

10Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

11Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

12Makes 36 cookies.
