  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can peeled tomatoes
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 c. diced green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 c. water
  • mashed potatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook potatoes and mash enough for 4 servings.

    Form hamburger into 4 patties.

    Brown.

    Add tomatoes, 1 cup water, celery and green pepper.

    Cook about 1/2 hour.

    Make paste with flour and 1/4 cup water.

    Remove patties and some of vegetables from tomato sauce.

    Keep warm.

    Add flour and water paste to sauce to thicken. Salt and pepper to taste.

    Serve patties with mashed potatoes and gravy.
