Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

    In saucepan put water and butter.

    Bring to a boil.

    Turn off the heat and then add 1/2 of the flour, salt and baking powder to water, mix troughly then add the other half.

    Mix until well incorporated.

    You can add vanilla and one egg at a time to dough but I recomend using a stand mixer.

    Mix until dough is smooth

    Then place churro dough in a pastry bag.

    Cut desired length pieces with scissors In a pan with vegetable oil, cook until golden brown.

    Or longer if you like them more browned.

    Place on paper towel to absorb excess oil, the mix the sugar and cinnamon in bowl and coat the churros while they are still warm so the sugar sticks to the churro.
