- 1 qt. water
- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cumin seed or ground
- 2 large onions, chopped fine
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 garlic toes
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper or chili pepper
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 3 large whole bay leaves
- 1/2 green pepper (optional)
Directions

1Crumble raw (do not brown) lean meat into water.

2Add all ingredients, bring to boil, then simmer for 3 hours.

3Remove garlic toes and bay leaves.

4Add whole red peppers if desired for spicier taste.

5Can be used also over spaghetti, serve with shredded cheese over either dish.
