  • 1 pkg. red hot candies (approximately 9 oz.)
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 10 apple halves, pared
  • red food coloring

Directions

    Melt the red hot candies and the sugar in the water.

    Bring to boil and add the apples.

    Add drops of red food coloring to make bright red.

    Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes or until apples are tender.
