- 2 c. sifted flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 2/3 c. milk
- brown sugar
- butter, softened
- cinnamon
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

2Cut shortening into flour mixture until it looks like rice grains.

3Add milk to flour mixture gradually.

4Stir with fork until it forms soft dough; knead.

5Roll to 1/4-inch.

6Spread with melted butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

7Roll into pinwheels; cut into 12 biscuits.

8Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.

9Yields 1 dozen biscuits.
