- 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Add enough flour to make a nice smooth dough.

2Turn out on floured board and knead until smooth.

3Roll out 9 x 22-inch. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle over top with the 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.

4Cut into 6 equal strips; pile.

5Press to make firm.

6Cut into 12 pieces and place cut side up into greased muffin tins.

7Bake at 450° for 15 to 20 minutes or until done. Frost with thin icing while still warm.

8Makes 1 dozen.
