- 1 c. scalded milk
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 beaten egg
Directions

1Combine flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl. Combine egg, water, milk and melted butter.

2Add slowly to flour mixture.

3Knead for 5 minutes.

4Roll and cut into 1-inch slices. Place each slice into greased muffin pan.

5Allow to rise to double its size.

6Spread butter on each top and bake at 375° for 25 minutes.
