Cinnamon Buns

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 c milk
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 small or 1 lrg cake of yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 7 1/2 c flour
  • 2 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 box of raisins cooked in 1/2 c water
  • nuts (optional)

Directions

    Mix in order of ingredients and keep dough soft.

    Let rise. Knead down, make buns and let rise till double in size.

    To make buns, roll dough, spread butter, sugar and cinnamon on dough. Roll up and seal ends.

    Cut 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.

    Butter pan real good.

    Place buns in pan and let rise.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
