  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 12 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 12 cups chicken stock
  • salt and pepper

    PREPARATION:.

    Rinse greens.

    Cut into strips.

    Boil in salted water for 6 minutes.

    Drain in colander.

    While greens are boiling, cook bacon, remove from skillet.

    Saute onions and garlic in bacon drippings until onion is lightly browned.

    Place greens, onion & garlic, crumbled bacon, pepper flakes and chicken stock in crock pot.

    Cook on high 4 hours or until greens are tender.
