  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 cup Cinnamon Chips
  • 1 whole Egg, Separated
  • 3/4 cups Buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

    Preheat oven to 375°F.

    Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender. Stir in cinnamon chips.

    Mix egg yolk, buttermilk, and vanilla in a glass measuring cup. Add to dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.

    Scrape dough onto floured surface. Knead 6-8 times.

    Divide dough in half. Form 6-inch circle with dough and cut each circle into 6 triangles. Place on baking sheet (not greased).

    Cook for 15-18 minutes, rotating 180 degrees at halfway point. Cool on a wire rack.
