- 2 cups pickling salt

1Wash and chop 50 to 60 pickling cucumbers into 1/4 to 3/4 in slices and put into a 5 gallon stone jar.

2Mix 2 cups pickling salt to 1 gallon boiling water and pour over cucumbers.

3Cucumbers must be submerged.

4Make more mixture until cucumbers are covered. An upside down plate helps to keep them covered.

5Let stand for 7 complete days.
