- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 egg white, beaten
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Cream butter and brown sugar; beat in egg yolk and vanilla. Stir together flour and cinnamon.

2Stir into creamed mixture.

3Pat into ungreased baking pan.

4Brush with egg white.

5Sprinkle with nuts.

6Lightly press them into the top.

7Bake at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes.

8Cut into diamond shapes while warm.
