- 3 gal. cucumbers, peeled and seeded
- 8 1/2 qt. water
- 2 c. lime
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1/2 oz. red food color
- 1 tsp. alum
Directions

1Soak cucumbers, water and lime for 24 hours, then drain and soak in ice cold water for 3 hours.

2Drain again.

3Add cucumbers and add water to cover top.

4Heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

5Soak for 2 hours.

6Drain.

7Throw away mixture.
