- 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1In large bowl combine 2 cups flour and yeast.

2Heat milk, shortening and salt until warm.

3Add eggs.

4Beat at low speed with mixer about 1/2 minute, then continue beating at high speed for 3 minutes.

5By hand, stir in 1 1/2 to 2 cups flour to make a moderately stiff dough.

6Knead on floured surface for 8 to 10 minutes.

7Shape into ball.

8Cover.

9Let raise until double.

10Punch down and divide in half.

11Cover and let raise about 10 minutes. Roll out and spread with preferred filling.

12Place into prepared pans and let raise until double in bulk.

13Bake at 375° for 18 to 20 minutes.
