  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 to 3 1/2 c. plain flour, divided
  • 3/4 c. quick cooking oats (uncooked)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened and divided
  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. water

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan; heat until shortening melts, stirring occasionally.
